Here's a photo of our rat, Flash. He's really a gerbil (a nicer way of saying Desert Rat!!!). I call him Ratty or Ratboy. I find he looks like a chipmunk. He stinks, too. (Edited to add: I Do like his little hands!)
Doreen - we had a hamster - he was very cute - cuter than the rat IMO. However, he did not last very long; unfortunately while we were on vacation last summer, and my mom was on the watch, he passed. We called him Floofy, because he was so floofy! Floof was MUCH more disgusting than rat, but cuter!
