Large Hole Beads now Active!

I finally had a lesson from the Engineer, and now I can add my own beads and photos to my web site ! How about that? Now you can purchase nine different styles of beads in the large hole version - by large hole, I mean approx. 5mm bead hole that should be able to fit on Pandora, Troll, etc. You can also string them on leather or ball chains. Fun! I'll be adding more as soon as I complete my outstanding bead orders, and get some time to play with glass when the kids get back to school next week. Who else is excited for school!?!?!??!

New Large Hole Beads

Hopefully, I'll figure out how to get them on my web site by the weekend, so you can start ordering. Today, I'll just offer you a little eye candy - glacier and wisteria large hole beads! These are made with Bullseye glass!

Large Hole Beads

I've been making some larger hole beads for a client of mine who makes beaded dog leads - a really cool idea - and I thought I'd share some photos. These will be available on my website ( suebeads.com ) and I will be making many of my designer beads in this style. The hole measures almost 5mm and is perfect for those pandora, biagi, troll, etc., bracelets. They also look great on the necklaces, or on ball-chain necklaces too. Even leather! If you have a suggestion for another style, let me know! At first they were hard, but now I'm really liking making them! I do spacers in this size, too!

New Beads on Etsy!

I have two new small sets of beads on etsy - this is a photo of one of them! Click on the pic if you want to buy it - or just check out what else I have on etsy!

Back from Vacation!

I'm back, and I'm ready to make beads. We had a nice, relaxing time, with only one rain day - which is good, sometimes, because you can just do nothing! Our friends came down for about 4 days to visit and that was very nice to have them there! I'll leave you with a bead pic, for interest! This bead is now on etsy; click on it, you know you want to!

Beach!

WooHoo - we are leaving for the beach tomorrow morning! I am still taking bead orders and will get to work right away when I get back - so keep ordering! I will take all the items I have for sale on etsy, so you can still purchase etsy items, and I'll be able to mail them from South Carolina! I'll just leave you with some eye candy! I'm making some of my designer beads in a bigger mandrel size (4-5mm) in addition to the regular sizes I already make. Let me know if you are interested! These work great on "those" bracelets! I also have a customer who is using them on her braided dog leashes! Sounds like a cool idea!

Squirrel and Bead Update

Just wanted everyone to know I called the Wildlife Rescue place, and the little squirrels are with a foster mother doing well. I'm so glad to hear that. People here (in PA) aren't allowed to keep wild animals for more than 48 hours, and you have to be certified to be a rehabber, so I'm glad they have someone qualified to take of them! On the bead front, there's some beads on etsy and ebay, and I'll be at the beach; you can still order beads, but it will just be 2 short weeks before I can get to all the orders! Thanks in advance - I love my job, and you make it possible!

Baby Squirrels

Well, I ended up taking the baby squirrels (yes, there were two of them; one was pretty far gone... : ( ) to the Animal Rescue League Wildlife Center. They were going to take care of them - I was really surprised, since I had never even seen a baby squirrel before. They aren't the cutest things, but I'm glad that I took them. Hopefully I taught my kids a lesson about compassion, and about finding a solution to problems, even though you don't know where to start.

Would you believe...?

Well, any bead time I had tonight and tomorrow is going to be spent taking care of a baby squirrel that apparently got kicked out of it's nest! I have never even seen a baby squirrel! It's pretty weird, but we're trying to take care of it until we can get it to rescue tomorrow morning! I'll keep you informed, and hopefully before we take it, I'll get a photo - it's eyes are still closed, but it has hair and everything and really looks like a squirrel with puppy paws!

Buy Beads and Stand Up 2 Cancer

For the month of August, all bead sales will result in a $1.00 donation to standup2cancer.org . Right now, the U.S. is choosing to spend our money on things other than research into illness and disease. Europe does quite well in this arena; however, US doctors are on the verge of discovering treatments and cures for many diseases, cancer among them. Since I am a cancer survivor, I have decided that for the month of August, for each bead sale, I will donate $1.00 to Stand Up 2 Cancer, an organization collecting money to fund cancer research in the US. Please help me make a large donation by buying my beads on etsy, ebay and on my web site! This is a photo of some beads available on etsy!
