The component of the month for April was provided by Jennifer Cameron.  She made these awesome textured dichroic silver glass sparkly focal beads for us! Yes, as usual, I didn't take a photo of mine before I worked on it!  I made this great focal piece. I used a silver clay headpin from Andrew Thornton, urchin style bead caps, and a great pinch bail.  I had purchased some hand-dyed ribbon from Amy Kuczewski which arrived Monday in the mail! You may have noticed that we changed our name and look over at Art Jewelry Elements - we are now Art Elements .  Read all about it! Also it's time for the October Component of the Month - this month, Jennifer Cameron provided us with these cute sugar skulls! I managed to take a photo of mine this time, before I made my necklace! I love the colors she used, and wanted to make a colorful necklace as well! Here's what I made, using seed beads and czech flowers!  I think it's fun! I was so happy to be able to use these czech flowers, as I am currently obsessed with them. I went to Prague this summer but was not able to find any czech beads for purchase! Back in December, all of us at AJE got together and facilitated by Lesley Watt, did a Secret Santa exchange!  It was fun - we only knew who we were sending to (of course) but not who was sending to us!  My partner to send to was Jennifer Cameron!  Here's what I sent her:  I knew she liked the beaded beads because she traded with me at Bead Fest for beaded beads!   I also knew she liked the ornaments I made this year because she commented on a photo I shared - this is my ornament of the year for the Sally Russick Ornament Swap.  I also wanted to send her a surprise so I made these earrings from a tutorial that I got from Around The Beading Table. Today is the reveal for the Art Jewelry Elements Component of the Month!  This month, Jennifer Stout Cameron of Glass Addictions provided us with a pair of glass headpins she made!  I'm afraid I wasn't too imaginative, in that I made earrings from the pair.  While I wanted them to be dangles on something, like a bracelet, earrings just kept calling to me!  These are as close to mis-matched earrings as I will ever get!  The headpins came with a very long piece of copper and I cringed when I cut it - what if I dind't like the earrings I made?  Well, too bad, Sue, you'll have to live with it when you cut!  I feel like I need to add one more dangle to the earrings, and then I'll be happy with them!
