Another Book

I bought another book when I was at the bookstore - The Art of Polymer Clay Creative Surface Effects, by Donna Kato. I mostly bought it because there are a lot of pretty pictures in it! But I have to admit that I would really like to learn how to make polymer clay beads. There are so many pretty ones out there that it really intrigues me. In particular, I like the chapters on transferring images onto clay. I love all the asian influences in her work that appears in this book. The book was $19.95 at the bookstore - I'm sure you could get it for less on Amazon. But I needed something creative to look at, so I parted with the money (remember, I'm Scottish!).

Tomorrow we may go to Savannah, or we may stay here and see what time the girls get up - yesterday it was 1pm.

Oh Sue! You will love this book! I have all of Donna Kato's books. This is my favorite though. I look at her books all the time, even the old ones. Her directions are always concise and easy to follow. She will even answer your questions if you send her an email. Hope you make something and post it soon!

Puppies!

I just had to include this photo of my friend Beth's new puppies. They are 11 week old Jack Russell Terriers. The smaller one is the runt of the litter, but too cute. They are Libby and Lucy!!! Click on the photo to see them bigger!

Another quick post!

I know, I'm on a roll today. Even though I got a late start, I've made beads, made posts, done some scrabble tiles, now I have to fold some laundry and think about dinner. Just wanted to post a photo and link to the ebay auction of mine that started last night - I like the beads, they have a southwest feel and would make a fantastic focal piece in a bracelet, or a whole bracelet too!
