New Enameled Beads

I mentioned I had some new enameled bead shapes in the works - here are some of them! I will be listing more today as my schedule allows - it's almost the 4th of July and I can't believe the summer has gone so fast already. I have to get the boy child ready for his People to People Student Ambassador trip to France and England! In the meantime, you can find a few new enamel beads in my SueBeads etsy store !

Summer Reading

I have some summer reading recommendations for you, if you are interested! I read these all either on the way to Hawaii or in Hawaii! Now I need to get some more books. If any of you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them! Olive Kitteridge is a set of stories about a New England town, and the main thread through the book is this quirky, uncompromising, cranky woman named Olive Kitteridge. It's a good read, not too heavy, but will keep your interest! Mudbound is a book about the mid-west after WWII and what African Americans had to endure to eke out a living. It also teaches us what African Americans were treated like, even though they fought alongside white men in the war. Very interesting read. Another WWII book, this time about Wales. Of course, I never knew that Wales had much to do with the war, but apparently there was an internment camp there for captured German soldiers. This book deals with the relationship of a Welsh girl and the man she fell in love w

New Shapes

I got some new copper shapes in the mail and had to finally get to making some beads today! I did the enamel beads and have some to list tomorrow on etsy, but here's a preview of what you can do with one kind of new shape - it's a rondelle, looks like an M&M! I love these earrings! The beads are really cool! The black earrings are made with my enamel headpins - I like the black and blue together!

Certificate

Ok, I am a flake today, but I did manage to do laundry and a few small things, like pack up some etsy orders. This day went so fast. We just got back from a meeting for my daughter's trip to Italy that starts on Thursday. She'll be gone for a month. Lots to do in the next few days, and I have some bead order to attend to also! Anyone have any requests? Thanks!

I'm Back!

Me and the kids at the summit of Haleakala in Maui! I'm home - I hate redeyes! But I'm home, very happy. I loved Hawaii, we all had a great time, but it's time to get back to life here, I guess! I'll be shipping orders out tomorrow from etsy and make some beads I hope! I see Lorelei has some cool new things and so does MJ - what else have I missed??!?!?!

Taking a Week!

So, as I mentioned, I am taking next week off! I will leave my shop open (thanks for the comments encouraging me ladies!) and will ship starting June 21st. I have added a bunch of last minute items - if you still buy into tonight, I will find a mailbox to stick them in tomorrow morning! I will have computer but probably won't be able to check too often, so bear with me if you send questions or comments. I appreciate each and every one and will get back to you as soon as possible! I'll post a photo as soon as I can!

Last Minute Listings

I am taking next week off, but will mail tomorrow. Therefore, I listed a bunch of last minute listings to get your jewelry minds working! These are just a few that are now in the SueBeads etsy store!

Another Question!

I am taking next week off - returning to work on the 21st! - would you rather I closed my etsy store, or left it open to ship on the 21st when I am back from my rest? Thanks for your input!

My Girly

My girl is on the front page of the Post-Gazette today! Check out the article here !

When it's too cold to swim...

...what do you do with those pool noodles (yes, it's only 70 degrees here today)? Make up a new game and smack each other!

Kitten

My kids' dad got them a kitten last weekend - isn't she so cute? P.S. She is 9 weeks old in this photo and I think her name is Dusty - and she's a freak! P.S.S. She is a freak because she gets that kitten-has-a-bug-in-her-head thing going on, and zips around the room like crazy chasing nothing!!!!!!!

Customer Work

Debbie, from Prairie Emporium , made this really really cute bracelet, and she used some of the turquoise spacers I made for her! I just love how she put together the copper and the lampwork and the beautiful czech beads - I love them! You should take a look at her store!

Purpleness

I made these last night before the storm - I love them! I used various shades of purple to make these sets - the tubes and the rondelles! Love them! They are in the etsy shop .

Bead Caps

I have been making bead caps - while they are a pain in the you know what to make, they turn out absolutely gorgeous! They measure 22mm long and the hole size is 3/32". Two sets are in my shop - more to come! What colors would you like to see?

Earrings

These are a pair of earrings I made for myself (yes, myself!!!) with the teardrop shaped vintage copper beads that I enameled. I love these beads! Hope you enjoy the idea!
