Well, I am finally getting around to posting about the Bead Soup Blog Party! My partner is Laura Zeiner from Stick Lizard Designs. She is an amazing beading talent! Check out all the tutorials she has available to purchase - wow! I am excited to get to work on what she sent me - that focal is to die for! There are many bloggers who are participating this year in the Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by Lori Anderson! Stop by later in September to see what we all made!

As you may know, Kristie Roeder is hosting a design team! Once a month, she sends us a cool piece she made and we make some jewelry with it! The reveal date is the last Friday of the month. Here is my piece for the month!
She sent me a shard with two loops so I immediately, after thinking on a it for a while, decided that it would be a connector. I made two ribbed round beads out of metallic black glass to match the raku of the shard. I also used some African beads I got from The Bead Chest a while ago as accents. Finally, I ran out to Michaels yesterday to buy 5 kinds of chain - black, gunmetal, brass, copper, and "silver". I really like how all the chain looks together and can see a bracelet just made from layers and layers of this chain! Chain is in, you know!
I hope you like my piece! Please visit Kristie's blog to see everyone else's creations!

Hi everyone! I am having a really hard time getting back into the routine after my trip to Hilton Head! I had a majorly relaxing and fun time, and now I have to get myself back in gear! One way is to find out that I was selected to participate in the I Made It Market on Sunday at Bakery Square here in Pittsburgh! Come one out and see me if you like! If you mention you read it on my blog, I'll give you a 10% discount on anything you buy!
Has anyone ever done one of these markets? Any advice for me? I finally got my tent and ordered more business cards, I need a credit card reader and a banner now for my logo. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully I'll have some more beads listed today but for now, I have to go make some! I've been spending my beady time making a large custom order ~ thank you so much Karon! ~ and now I'll be making some for the etsy shop and market!

Got back last night from Hilton Head - we had a fantastic time but now it's time to get back to reality! I'll be mailing etsy orders today, and starting those bead orders today too! The etsy sale will disappear in a few so if you read this and want to get in on it, use coupon code vacation for a few more minutes to save 10% on your SueBeads etsy order! It's 9:35 right now, when I'm done corresponding with etsy people and printing orders, the sale goes away! I'll write more later! Busy Busy!

I am going on vacation! Starting Saturday (6th August) until the 17th August, I will be at the beach! While my parents are watching my house, I won't be asking them to mail any packages! So that translates into a deal for you! If you want anything mailed by tomorrow, please visit my SueBeads etsy store and make your purchase - I will mail tomorrow! Otherwise, it will have to wait to be mailed until August 18th! However, since you have to wait for your goodies, I will be glad to offer you 10% off your order with the coupon code vacation in the etsy store! And, for those of you who can't wait and want to order today or tomorrow, you can use the coupon code as well! So please visit the SueBeads etsy store and take advantage of the coupon code vacation for 10% off your order until August 18th!
