Charm Swap!

Top Row: Erin Prais-Hintz, Susan Kennedy, Sally Russick
Bottom Row: Sandi Lee James, Jennifer Cameron, Mallory Hoffman

Today is reveal day for the charm exchange Jennifer Cameron, of Glass Addictions, hosted. The guidelines were simple: create a charm based on the theme of "PLAY" and make enough charms for everyone plus one extra to auction off. We are actually auctioning off two sets of charms! The proceeds from the auction benefit Beads of Courage.

My charm was based on the beach - my family has a house in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and I have been going there for years! My charm is a beach ball with a shell dangle attached! We love to play on the beach!

Spring 2011 Participants:

1. Jennifer Cameron: Glass Addictions by Jennifer Cameron

2. Sandi Lee James: Do Be Do Bead Do

3. Mallory Hoffman: For the Love of Beads

4. Sue Kennedy: Sue Beads

5. Sally Russick: Wireworked

6. Erin Prais-Hintz: Treasures Found

You can find the auctions by using the following links!

Ebay Beads of Courage Charm Swap Lot 2

Please take a look and bid, if you are so inclined! The proceeds all go to Beads of Courage, which is a wonderful organization - click on the Beads of Courage link to read all about it! Thanks to Jennifer Cameron for hosting her second charm swap - it was fun! She did a lot of work in a little bit of time!

I really loved your inspiration Miss Sue. So glad that I could do this with you! The bead as a beach ball. If feels so soft and smooth in my hand. I made two piece of jewelry with the charms and one will be sold for Beads of Courage. I hope you like them!
Enjoy the day!

Bead Soup Blog Party!

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party! What is a Bead Soup Blog Party? Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following: ~ A focal ~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw) ~ Some coordinating spacers or beads Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not. You may recall my partner was Margot Potter ; click this link to see the blog post I wrote of what she sent me! Here's what I made! Dangly earrings! Come see what the rest of us made! 1. Puppies!

I just had to include this photo of my friend Beth's new puppies. They are 11 week old Jack Russell Terriers. The smaller one is the runt of the litter, but too cute. They are Libby and Lucy!!! Click on the photo to see them bigger!

Another quick post!

I know, I'm on a roll today. Even though I got a late start, I've made beads, made posts, done some scrabble tiles, now I have to fold some laundry and think about dinner. Just wanted to post a photo and link to the ebay auction of mine that started last night - I like the beads, they have a southwest feel and would make a fantastic focal piece in a bracelet, or a whole bracelet too! You can click on them to go to the auction!
