Not Keeping UP!

I'm exhausted. Could it be from being a single parent and having two incredibly involved children? Could it be from having a neck spasm for over a week and not sleeping? Could it be from trying to do too many things and therefore not doing anything? I don't know, but I am completely exhausted. I'm trying to keep up. But I'm not... the blogging is faltering, I haven't been reading others' blogs, facebook and pinterest I haven't been keeping up with, blah blah blah! I have a show this weekend, and am finally back to making beads again this week for that. My daughter has a play (she's the technical director) for Friday and Saturday night, AND she's taking her driver's test on Saturday. My son plays basketball and is in his school musical. I'll be glad when this weekend is over, it won't be so bad then - she won't be staying at school every single night. And the show will be over and I can concentrate on making things for the little shop I have consigned with. And the Bead Fest Philly, which I can't wait for!!!! Selling beads, instead of jewelry and other stuff, is what I really really want to do! I'll have some beads listed tomorrow, check here for a heads-up!

Gorgeous, bold color-love it! Can't wait to see the rest. Oh, how your beads make me drool! Will you be selling at Bead Fest Philadelphia or buying? I will be attending to buy and take some classes.

Time really flies, doesn't it!

Oh honey! You can't possibly do it all. That is the first thing that you have to tell yourself when you wake up in the morning. I have been suffering from this Must Do affliction for so long. I can totally relate! But ultimately you have to pick and choose what you can do otherwise you won't do anything! So let go of the Must Dos and focus instead on what you Can Do and you will come out ahead, I am sure! Hang in there!
Enjoy the day.

It will get better! I can totally relate on the whole kid front. (Hubby does shift work and is tied to his blackberry, so not around a lot)

Sending your daughter luck for the play and her driver's test! (mine just got hers and she has auditions for the spring musical this week!)

Hoping this week is better!
so sorry to hear that you have been under the weather - hope you are feeling better soon! PS: LOVE those coral beads!

Just breathe deeply and gently. Especially, when your daughter goes for her driving liscense. How do they get to that age so fast?

Hang in there! I'm so excited to see you at philly!!
Sue,
The beads are gorgeous as only you can make them. I hope things begin to slow down for you just a little so you can get some well deserved rest.

Take care of yourself, girl. The blog and FB and Pinterest will all be here waiting. You and the kids are the important things right now. I love the color in this beads set. Obviously, your muse is full of strength. Sending you a virtual heating pad for your neck. :(

uhhh....Busy much? Sheesh! Get some rest! You have so much on your plate. Everyone's blogs will still be there whether you get a chance to read them or not. Do take care of yourself and your kids. Everything else will fall into place.

Bead Soup Blog Party!

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party! What is a Bead Soup Blog Party? Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following: ~ A focal ~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw) ~ Some coordinating spacers or beads Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not. You may recall my partner was Margot Potter ; click this link to see the blog post I wrote of what she sent me! Here's what I made! Dangly earrings! Come see what the rest of us made! 1. AE Component of the Month - July - Scarabs by Me!

I provided the scarab beads for the Component of the Month Challenge over at Art Elements for July! And as usual, didn't take a photo of my own bead before I started working with it.  But here is the one I used - unfortunately, you can't see the lustrous oil slick colors of this black metallic glass because once again we have cloudy days here in Pittsburgh. I made a choker length necklace using spiral stitch and these awesome seed beads that go so well with this black metallic glass! I used hematite swarovski crystals to divide the bead stitching and the scarab focal bead; I actually ordered a pile of pairs of various black swarovski colors and decided that these match the best! I finished off the necklace with the ball socket clasp - it's a nice way to finish a spiral stitch - the size is just right and it's fairly easy to sew into the design. Please check out what our guests and team members made with their scarabs! And thanks to everyone who took par...

Bead Soup Blog Party!!!!

It's time again for the Bead Soup Blog Party, hosted by Lori Anderson.  I don't really know how she does it, she has health issues but keeps plugging away.  Thanks to Lori and to her husband and her helpers who made this work yet again this year! My partner was Rochelle Brisson from Sea Chelles Design on etsy, and her blog is A Creative Chelle .  I posted earlier about what she sent me for my soup: Usually I stress about what beads or components I'm going to add to the soup to make bunches of things, and I decided I don't really like that stress.  I wanted to stress a different way - use only what she sent me, other than whatever I was going to use to string.  I did a pretty good job, I think. I was inspired by a necklace I saw in a magazine some time ago, an assymetrical necklace that used the toggle clasp in the front for the focal.  The pretty ceramic focal hangs off the round part of the toggle clasp, in the front of the necklace.  I ...
