What I'm Working With!

Yesterday, I was blissfully making beads, minding my own business, when I heard an explosion that made me jump! It came from my oxygen concentrator, which then started grinding to a halt! I have (knock on wood) NEVER had a problem with it before, so I guess I was due! My friend Jason came over and figured out what was wrong with it (heat exchanger), ordered the part for me, and helped me set up the oxygen tank that I used to use before I bought the concentrator. There was some oxygen left in it, but alas this afternoon it is almost gone. I was hoping to get some enameled head pins done and may be able to tomorrow. The gas place is not open over the weekend, so I'll have to have fun (?) instead. Saturday consists of driving children all over the city, and Sunday I'll be at the Steeler game! Luckily there was enough oxygen for me to finish the order I was working on when the concentrator blew up!

Tonight I'm going to take my son to see my daughter's high school play, Oliver. She works in the crew and has had a blast!

I still haven't figured out what's wrong with my oxycon, or even IF something is wrong with my oxycon. I haven't had time to make bead one since summer. But I jump with the torch makes a little splutter so I would have required new attire if I'd heard that bang!

Try to have fun this weekend!

Oh drat and darn and other words. I hate when my equipment goes. Happened recently with my kiln elements in the middle of getting ready for a show. Good thing you've got 'kid' diversions this weekend.

Well, it is a good thing it didn't really blow up, or you would not be spending the weekend having (other?) fun. Such a nuisance. But glad you are alright. Have a great weekend nonetheless.
I would love to learn the art of glass beads, but that tank set up and knowing how to troubleshot it scare the bejesus out of me. I envy your confidence!

You may recall my partner was Margot Potter ; click this link to see the blog post I wrote of what she sent me! Here's what I made! Dangly earrings! Come see what the rest of us made! 1. The Tacky Earring Blog Hop

Diana Ptaszynski had a great idea, instead of a Tacky Christmas Sweater blog hop, a Tacky Holiday Earring blog hop! I was on it.  I had ideas right away.  I had so many I had to control myself.  You can buy these for $15 each, too!  Here we go! I found these awesome wreaths in the miniature Christmas section in Michaels, and they go perfectly with silver and copper colored plastic beads! These trees were found in Michaels, on an end-cap - I assume they are scrapbook or card making supplies, but make fantastic earrings.  The holes were a little small and far down, so I had to make LARGE loops.  Paired these with cute little gold colored jingle bells! And, finally, the ones I had in my head the moment she announced the blog hop.  Dr. Seuss sparkly puff balls with ribbons.  The only thing that would have made these better for me is if I could have found the red ribbons I really wanted to pair these with - don't get me wrong, the silver is cool and all, but in my head they w
