Rondelles Challenge

I am going to work with my man today, but wanted to show you what's new in the SueBeads shop! Rondelles! They aren't the same as the other ones I loved so much, and don't have any more of, and can't find any more of! But they are cool just the same. I made earrings from them - what do you think you would do with them? Want to show me? I will pick 5 people to participate in a challenge! You will receive a pair of these rondelle beads and we'll have a blog hop to see what you made!

Just comment on this post by Wednesday evening at 8 pm. I'll choose 5 random people to receive a random pair of these rondelles! We'll do a little blog hop on May 26th! That should give everyone enough time to get something done, especially if you are participating in other hops!

Well it would just be rude not to volunteer wouldn't it.
Love those colours - please put my name in the hat Sue.
I think they are very cool, almost a sea urchin look because of the almost bubbly texture. You know I'd love to play!

Me Me Me :) I would love to play!! Been admiring your enamel beads in your store and would love to see them (and play with them) in person. I need a new summer bracelet, so that is what I would make with them!

Oh, jumping up and down, pick me, pick me! :) I so love your enameled beads. And the colors you chose are wonderful. I can already think of a couple of things I would do, so a resounding YES!

I think I'd do earrings, too, but I'd like to play with them a little too - maybe cute little danglies hanging from the rondelle to make it look like cute little ear lamps :o)
Beautiful beads! I'd love a chance to try them. Thanks so much for the entry.

OOH! I love these colors and their lacy little edges. I think that their squishy shape is more appealing to me than rounds. I have been on a bangle kick and I think that this might be just the thing to add to the stack that I have been amassing. You do such lovely work Miss Sue! I look forward to seeing what someone does with these beauties. Enjoy the day. Erin
Love these! You know I am a lover of your beads...lampwork or enamel!!! I would love a challenge! Regardless if chosen or not, I will be sure to visit your blog hop!
Those are stunning! I would love to participate! I have a few ideas...

Hey, what up with the comments? Is your comment acceptor working? Or whatever it's called. I left a comment last night. Would love a chance to try something with rondelles. I figured the competition would be fierce, but when I checked back....0 comments.
Hmmm. Not even mine. Also, if no one responds maybe I'll get to be the randomly selected one!
I know I'm not alone in wanting to play with these fun shapes........

Bead Soup Blog Party!

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party! What is a Bead Soup Blog Party? Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following: ~ A focal ~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw) ~ Some coordinating spacers or beads Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not. You may recall my partner was Margot Potter ; click this link to see the blog post I wrote of what she sent me! Here's what I made! Dangly earrings! Come see what the rest of us made! 1. Bead Soup Blog Party!

Today is the day of the big Bead Soup Blog Party reveal! Lori Anderson, the wonderful host of this event, reported that there are 362 participants this year! That's a lot of blogs to look at. I will try my best to get to each and every one, but it may take weeks! My partner was Laura Zeiner from Stick Lizard Designs . She has a lot of talent, that girl. If you recall in my previous post , she sent me these beads: And this is what I made: I love love love the focal she sent me. It's gorgeous! The lack of sun here in Pittsburgh does nothing for this rock! The colors and crystals are beautiful! I had no idea what to do with it, though, and I pondered for quite a while. I decided to make links with 18 gauge copper wire and think I did an ok job at it. I'm sure there are some better ways to do this, and I'd love to hear about them. I'm just really starting to get into the world of wire and so my skills aren't that great. In any event, I made some beady links

The Tacky Earring Blog Hop

Diana Ptaszynski had a great idea, instead of a Tacky Christmas Sweater blog hop, a Tacky Holiday Earring blog hop! I was on it.  I had ideas right away.  I had so many I had to control myself.  You can buy these for $15 each, too!  Here we go! I found these awesome wreaths in the miniature Christmas section in Michaels, and they go perfectly with silver and copper colored plastic beads! These trees were found in Michaels, on an end-cap - I assume they are scrapbook or card making supplies, but make fantastic earrings.  The holes were a little small and far down, so I had to make LARGE loops.  Paired these with cute little gold colored jingle bells! And, finally, the ones I had in my head the moment she announced the blog hop.  Dr. Seuss sparkly puff balls with ribbons.  The only thing that would have made these better for me is if I could have found the red ribbons I really wanted to pair these with - don't get me wrong, the silver is cool and all, but in my head they w
