Bead Soup - Reveal Day!

Today is the third reveal for the 6th Annual Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by the amazing Lori Anderson of Pretty Things. My partner was Sandra Wollberg (from Germany) and in addition to the ear wires, focal and clasp you will see below, here's a reminder of what she sent me for my Bead Soup.
As is my usual style, I waited until Friday to make my pieces.  One, I work better under pressure, and two, I spent about 2 months getting ready for Bead Fest Philly and had no time to think about anything else!  But I think I'm pretty happy with how things turned out!
Sandra made these ear wires from copper.  I used these gorgeous copper lantern beads she sent, as well as the opalite dagger beads.  I think they make a great pair of earrings!

Then, I made a bracelet.  I used copper chain that I had, and since the clasp was a three-strand clasp, I made a three-clasp bracelet!  Two strands are the copper chain.  On the middle strand, I used the bead caps and opalite rounds she sent, and the last two links were made from pretty copper beads she also sent along.

The last piece of made was the necklace with the focal that Sandra made.  She etched two pieces of copper and made them into a book!  I wanted to use one of my own beads in this piece, and I chose the coral ribbed round that is one of my new favorites evah!  I topped the bead with a bead cap from Lisa Liddy and used plain chain to highlight the focal.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my soup!  Here's a list of everyone else who is playing this time, and it is large, so you'll need to take a few days at least!  Hope you have fun!

New Enamel Beads Listed

I just listed a bunch of enameled beads in the SueBeads etsy store. I'm going to be taking a week off. I'm going to leave the shop open, so if you purchase anything from the 10th - 18th of July, they will mail on the 19th! Thanks so much for your patience!

The Tacky Earring Blog Hop

Diana Ptaszynski had a great idea, instead of a Tacky Christmas Sweater blog hop, a Tacky Holiday Earring blog hop! I was on it.  I had ideas right away.  I had so many I had to control myself.  You can buy these for $15 each, too!  Here we go!

I found these awesome wreaths in the miniature Christmas section in Michaels, and they go perfectly with silver and copper colored plastic beads!

These trees were found in Michaels, on an end-cap - I assume they are scrapbook or card making supplies, but make fantastic earrings.  The holes were a little small and far down, so I had to make LARGE loops.  Paired these with cute little gold colored jingle bells!

And, finally, the ones I had in my head the moment she announced the blog hop.  Dr. Seuss sparkly puff balls with ribbons.  The only thing that would have made these better for me is if I could have found the red ribbons I really wanted to pair these with - don't get me wrong, the silver is cool and all, but in my head they were red.
